A huge thank you to everyone, who continue to support us, our deliveries are getting busier due to lockdown and our shop seems to be ticking over nicely.
We have a few small updates this week in regards to staff and opening hours which may change over the coming weeks.
The gales are in and the wind howls, who knows what boats we shall get out this week, it sure isn’t fishing weather for the faint hearted, but we shall do our best to secure fish. Please keep an eye on our facebook page for the daily videos of what fish is in.
Julia will be wrapped up warm and be at Tuppenny Barn this week, 10am – 1pm. We can take pre- orders for pre collection & we shall do our best to secure your fish.
Where we have staff available we shall split deliveries into 2 days, so the work load is not as heavy.
Thursday: Hayling Island, Langstone, Havant, Leigh Park, Rowland’s Castle, Waterlooville, Denmead.
Friday: Emsworth, Westbourne, Southbourne, Nutbourne, Bosham, Hambrook, West Ashling, East Ashling, Fishbourne, Chichester Centre.
We have very limited deliver slots available on Friday and all orders must be placed by Wednesday 12pm. We shall book the last few delivery slots in order of people sending enquiries.
When making pre orders we cannot guarantee your order as we do not know what we will catch, but we certainly will do our best. We do not keep data, so when placing a pre order please include:
Name, Full Address, Contact Telephone Number, Any Delivery instructions, Your Order and if you are collecting from Shop/Tuppenny Barn or delivery.
Staff updates, Working Hours & possible changes.
Many of you know i (chantelle) had brain surgery just over 12 months ago, followed by a minor stroke. Since then we have achieved so much, the new shop, new boat and continued to hopefully support you by giving you fresh, sustainable fish in your diets.
Unfortunately in the last few weeks i have been getting quite poorly. By the looks of things Brain surgery hasn’t been very successful, it’s a bit too early to tell, however i am now very ill and back on oxygen 8 hours a day not to mention many medications. Over the coming weeks you may not see me as much in the shop, responding to emails and facebook enquiries maybe a bit slower than usual, but we are in a better predicament than ever, i have a fabulous team Julia will be on hand, Callum is coming back temporary to assist at the shop and Pete & The Fishermen are willing to step in however needs be. Hopefully this is a temporary glitch and i will be back to normal as quickly as possible, we thank you for your understanding during this time.
We shall have a part time job opportunity possibly leading to full time in the Summer Months. This will need to be someone who is confident at using knives, can identify fish, serve at the shop, so if you know of anyone please send them my way!
Full job description will be available soon.
Wednesday 10am – 4pm.
Thursday 10am – 4pm
Friday 10am – 4pm
Saturday 9am – 12.30pm (if fish available)The fishing this week shall be very tough, due to the obvious gales we have in. We don’t have any Hake Boats out yet, but we shall update you on our website and social media if this changes.
